Spam, or junk email, has become a large problem at law firms ranging in size from solo practitioners to mega firms. Spammers create software called ‘web spiders’ or 'bots' which automatically trawl the web, detecting and harvesting email addresses from web pages.
People have fought back by not displaying email addresses, or displaying the address in an image, or displaying addresses in the following way : me {at} firm.com. These solutions have varying effectiveness, but they are all clunky and not the best solution.
